Energy storage application

The use of Graphene as an electrode material and/or catalyst in fuel cells, metal-based battery chemistries and chemical industries, require the doping of electrocatalytically active metals on the basal plane of Graphene.

Terracarb has pioneered a one-step doping process, for producing Manganese and Ferrous doped Graphene. One of this material has been already tested for its efficacy as an electrode material in Supercapacitor and it was found to yield 20% higher energy density than conventionally used Activated carbon.

The same manufacturing platform could be used for exploring the use of Terracarb’s Graphene for applications in energy storage and catalysis.
